(EDITORIAL NOTE) John Boehner believes the bigger the government, the smaller the people; thus the Republican plan must be to destroy government and create a super-race of right-wing Titans.

Editorial Note: John Boehner proves that rhetoric and cliche is the best way to combat reality and make others look bad while shifting blame and washing his hands in the dirty water that he himself took part in creating.

The continued usage of larger than life misdirection or misrepresentations of realty (sometimes referred to as lying) clouds the ability of everyday Americans in making reasonable decisions based on well reasoned arguments. The method of deception employed, when considered in the context of our traditional principles of honor and honesty, is entirely deceptive and contrary to the purpose of government which is to meet the needs of the common good.

There is a distinct lack of honesty and honor in the rhetoric employed. It is not designed to serve the common good of the nation but rather to serve the good of the richest Americans.

The Centrist Party (CP) supports the right to earn, but not the right to take, or take advantage of, through political favoritism and tax breaks, that ultimately increase the tax burden on the American people in so many ways.

John Boehner:

"Here was the president asking for the largest debt increase in American History, on the heals of the largest spending binge in American history."

Jon continues on behalf of Boehner:

"which came on the heals of an absurdly reckless decade; with unfunded wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; and an unfunded trillion dollar medicare prescription bill; and tax cuts for the wealthy that are the largest single policy contributor to our deficit. In fact I myself voted for all of these..., back to my original point".

Boehner goes on:

"And here's what we got for that massive spending binge, a new healthcare bill that most Americans never asked for, a stimulus bill that's more effective for producing material for late night comedians than it was in producing jobs."

There are many more things that would be funnier to joke about than the incompetent, inappropriate, illogical, incomprehensible, and unfortunately 'not' inconceivable favoritism Boehner is displaying by favoring corporations and the top 0.1% wage earners of America. What is not being said is that Boehner, and many other Republicans, are hypocrites on this issue in word and deed. They participated fully in the spending binge that put us in this hole, and now they want to place the blame on anyone but themselves. President Obama is just the scapegoat of the day, to be used and abused, in order to attempt, to make the Republicans look somehow better than they are.

America

The reason that the current spending increase is so huge is because of the massive unchecked spending that occurred during the George W. Bush administration; including the Prescription Medicare Bill. This was all before President Obama took office. Boehner and many Republicans are trying to blame President Obama who took office just after the last bubble began to burst. So Boehner is blaming the President, for the mess the Republicans made between 2000 and 2008.

It may be great political strategy, but it's a truly big lie. The fact remains that the size of the debt load is huge and has it's own inertia. To turn it around will be difficult. While President Obama simply may not be able to do this for numerous reasons, including his apparent lack of ability to defend reason with the required clarity and vigor to counter the Republicans in a meaningful manner? As to where that leaves America..., well, it seems, at the mercy of whichever special interests are best at manipulating our politicians.

(EDITORIAL NOTE) When it comes to resolving the debt ceiling crisis, Congress isn't bad at its job, it's just equivalent to a skunk with its head in a jar of Skippy peanut butter.

Editorial Note: Continued obfuscation and tactical evasion, with ample amounts of spin on the narrative, provides the noise and foundation context for then next great debt ceiling increase debate... in 9 months... just in time for John Boehner and the blue crew to blame President Obama all over again for his inability to not be as noisy as, or obtuse, as Boehner and the Republican majority of the 112th Congress.

Hmmm..., interesting, that would be just in time to make it a prime time election issue in the run up to November... How convenient.

Jon Stewart Reports:

The debt ceiling has been raised 102 times including:

17 times under President Ronald Reagan

5 times under George Herbert Walker Bush

4 times under President BIll Clinton

7 times under President George W. Bush
