Trumps Aggressive Transparency?

by John P. Reisman last modified Mar 28, 2020 02:26 PM
January: Trump Admin advised by Intelligence of the serious threat to the America of the Pandemic SARS-CoV-2 Covid-19; February: Trump ignored and downplayed the threat even calling it a democratic hoax; March: Trump begins to 'act' serious about the pandemic but continues his dis/misinformation campaign about how 'great' things are.
Trumps Aggressive Transparency?

Aggressive Transparency? Really?

The Trump administration promised aggressive transparency on February 29, 2020. The Trump admin., and Donald Trump himself had been a font of misinformation and disinformation about the serious nature of the pandemic. They also have continuously 'acted' as if they know what they are doing while demonstrating by their actions that they are at best late and inept on just about everything.

On top of all that Donald Trump has proven he is much more a follower than a leader. The most ridiculous example being that he told the state governors that they need to get equipment on their own and they should not rely on the federal government. At the same time, the federal government began buying up supplies because the Trump admin was beginning to realize this might be more serious than they thought. The governors, Governor Cuomo in particular, suddenly realized that he was unable to buy the ventilators his states citizens needed because, the Trump administration was outbidding his state.

It' is hard to describe how horrible and pathetic the Trump administrations actions, lack of action, and response, has been through out the crisis. But one thing is for sure, the sycophantic nature of Trumps appointees and advisors still take priority over actually doing what needs to be done.

Trump should have locked down the nation in late January to early February to contain the spread of the virus. Instead he promoted the virus as a hoax and saying he had it under control and foolishly saying its okay to go back to work.

The truth is Trump, and the Trump administration have repeatedly demonstrated they can't be trusted with the safety of America, or Americas Citizens. The better question at this point is: Can/will America survive the amazing damage of the Trump presidency has done and continues to do to our nation?

Please proofread carefully and make sure your possessive apostrophes are in the right place and prepositions (like throughout) are spelled properly (as one word). I believe that the Centrist movement has some great ideas, and I would like to forward articles and news from your website to friends of mine. However, as an English teacher, I can’t forward this on if your articles are filled with errors. I don’t know if this news will be taken seriously by my grammarian colleagues.
