Take Action - Environment

Take action in your life and community, state and nation. The environment is where we live. Consider a bumper sticker "Maybe if we ignore the environment, it will just go away." Take action, and make a difference.
Take Action - Environment

Earth from Moon

3 Things:

  1. Change your light bulbs. It will save you money and lower your energy usage.
  2. Think about ways to save energy all the time.
  3. Contact your Congressman and Senator and tell them we need a direct progressive tax on carbon emissions now.

7 More Things:

  1. Reduce use of your dryer (it accounts for about 6% of household electrical usage).
  2. Think about how to get more done with less fossil fuel.
  3. Talk to your friends about global warming and what it means.
  4. Buy Local Food
  5. Reduce consumption and choose products that use less packaging.
  6. Switch off or unplug unused electronics (vampire usage).
  7. Try to eat less meat. We reluctantly admit that meat is greenhouse gas intensive*.

* 37% of total methane (CH4), 65% nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions, 9% of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions as reported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
